Karla graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from N.U. with a focus on design. She painted her first mural there inside the Huntington Avenue YMCA. At the Carving Center and Sculpture Studio in VT, she learned marble carving with traditional tools. Her coursework included theater design, graphic design, computer animation, and typography.
My fascination with the language of nature informs my work. My unique way is to work each piece without boundaries or constraint, exploring my own individual process. When designing this installation, I was mindful of the habitat my installation would be part of. This panel has traveled from Concord to Westford Rail Trails.
